Beginning in 2021 the State of Pennsylvania is sponsoring its own healthcare exchange. The exchange is now called Pennie. The same carriers Highmark and UPMC offer plans through the exchange.

You can navigate the exchange yourself but we do not recommend it. There are a lot of plans and a lot of options and it is confusing. Depending on your income there may be more affordable options within the exchange.
